Teacher Assistant Program

“True training goes beyond technique—it’s about guiding dancers to own their identity, then empowering them to lead with it.”

ABOUT OUR

Teacher Assistant Program

The Majesty in Motion Teacher Assistant Program is a pre-professional training initiative designed to develop the next generation of dance instructors. The program equips dancers with the technical, leadership, and instructional skills needed to transition into teaching roles, while immersing them in a high-level training environment.

Participants engage in extensive daily dance training alongside structured mentorship, gaining hands-on experience assisting in classes and refining their ability to lead and communicate effectively with students. In exchange, dancers receive access to all weekly classes, the studio space, social events, and team performance opportunities.

By combining practical teaching experience with intensive artistic development, the program creates a direct pathway for dancers to evolve into confident, well-rounded instructors and performers.

TEACHER ASSISTANTS

From All Backgrounds

Being a TA has given me a completely new perspective on dance. It’s helped me connect more deeply with the process, not just as a dancer but as someone supporting others in their journey. Seeing students grow, gain confidence, and enjoy themselves has been one of the most rewarding parts of the experience.

Sebastian D.

Being a TA for Majesty in Motion has really opened my eyes to the possibilities as to how I can be a better dancer and help those learning. I find it really fulfilling helping others and at the same time shows me how I could approach teaching with each student. I love building strong relationships with students and improving my own style of teaching.

Peter V.

This program has been one of the most rewarding parts of my dance journey. The monthly trainings with Jenn and David are such an honor and have helped me grow immeasurably. I love meeting people along their dance journey while working alongside such kind and collaborative instructors and fellow TAs.

Des M.

Being a TA at Majesty in Motion has been such a fun and rewarding experience. The energy here is incredibly supportive, and the instructors truly care about helping everyone grow while keeping things challenging and exciting. This studio is more than just a place to dance. It is a place for growth, connection, and a community that truly feels like home.

Sayra .

This is a great opportunity to be surrounded by dance and community. TAs learn leadership skills, mentorship, and develop a deeper understanding of the latin dance culture. TAs are learning from the educators and passing that knowledge to the students on a daily basis. TAs get a hands on training and become an active member of the community.

Alek L.

This program is nothing short of exceptional. It offers a thoughtful, well-structured pathway for young dancers to grow not only in their technical abilities, but also as leaders, mentors, and confident individuals. TAs are given meaningful opportunities to assist in classes, connect with younger dancers, and train in an intentional community.
